A Word on Low-Carb Diets

Before lunging yourself into any one highly recommended diet, it is always prudent to be conscious that we have at some point been a victim of various government publications that has been circulated indicating presumptuous claims because they are backed by science.  These are reviews that have not been updated and are from US government reviews.  In Washington, the fight is going on as to whether these dietary guideline are back by studies.  This is even the reason why dietary guidelines are now done every 5 years.

To prove my point. It has been claimed that eating eggs would lead to high cholesterol levels because chicken egg contains high cholesterol (a scientific finding).  But, recent findings indicate that eating egg hs very minimal effect on blood cholesterol compared to eating trans fats and saturated fats.  This then led to the conjecture that upon testing the con that led to that first finding was enormously caused by the oil used in frying the traditional American breakfast - ham and eggs, and the sodium in the bacon and sausages, which is trans and saturated fats.

If you are choosing a type of diet then be careful that this does not happen to you.  You can either rely on US Government that continuous to push for a low fat diet in the US Dietary Guidelines or join the large number of people who have shown that low carb (not low fat) diets are effective in treating and preventing disease such as obesity, and heart disease.

Many years before, people took to law fat diets but today it has shifted to low carb as the means to weight loss and you can now eat foods high in fat content.

If you consume too much of the wrong carbs in your diet, then your health can be negatively impacted.  And there are many types of low-carb diets including no carb bread recipe with each having its own restrictions on the types and amounts of carbohydrates that you can without limit eat.

One low carb diet is the Paleo diet, to site an example, which is a kind of diet which is all grain but with restrictions; it includes Quinoa grain, which is a complete protein source, and chickpea which is a pale brown round bean.  Other allowed carbs, however, have no restrictions.  For those who choose Paleo diet you can eat all the unrestricted carbs but not the restricted one, or control them.  Grains are not the only source of carbohydrates like in this keto tortilla.

People today call carbohydrates in its shortcut form which is carbs.  Grains, legumes, fruits, vegetables, and dairy products give us carbohydrates that supply our bodies with energy.  IN order for our bodies to function properly, carb supplies that body with glucose it needs for energy.
